Drinking Water System

The Clinton City Drinking Water System is operated and maintained by the Clinton City Water Department.

Statistics
The Clinton City Water System delivers on average 1.5 million gallons per day to our residence. Total yearly use for 2013 was 554 million gallons. This does not include the water delivered for outdoor irrigation delivered through the secondary water system.
Source of Drinking Water
The majority of the drinking water for the city is purchased from Weber Basin Water Conservancy District. The system through which the water is distributed is owned and operated by Clinton City.

Technical Data

The Clinton City Drinking Water System has more than 80 miles of piping,1100 control valves, 834 Fire Hydrants and storage tanks with a total capacity of 6 million gallons. To supplement the purchased water the department operates a deep water well that is 1,100 feet deep and produces over 1,200 gallons per minute of crystal clear water.
