CERT Training Program
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a training course which helps citizens prepare for emergencies. This training consists of basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, disaster medical operations and Terrorism.

CHAIN OF COMMAND
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a volunteer program who is overseen by the Citizen Corp Council. The Citizen Corp Council reports to the Fire Chief or designee. 


Local CERT Course

The CERT course is taught at the Clinton City Fire Station throughout the year. These classes are held in the training room, lower level of the Clinton City Fire Department building. To find out when the next CERT Training is scheduled, please contact Connie Valentine.

Goal of Clinton City CERT

The goal of Clinton City CERT is to have 10% of the residents be CERT certified. To be certified you must attend all classes taught during a session. To sign up call the CERT office.

Recertification Classes

Recertification classes will be held quarterly. If you have been CERT certified recently please sign up for these re-certification classes to keep your certification current.

Training Materials

If you are interested in CERT you can start your training by going to the Citizens Corps Website and view their material. In order to be certified in CERT you must take the classroom training which we offer at the Clinton Fire Station.
