[ARCHIVED] Notice of Public Hearing - Term Limits for Elected and Appointed Officials

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TERM LIMITS FOR ELECTED & APPOINTED OFFICIALS OF CLINTON CITY, UTAH

 

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Clinton City, Utah, will hold a public hearing at its regular meeting on May 27, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Clinton City Council Chambers, 2267 N 1500 W Clinton UT, 84015

 

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive input regarding a proposed ordinance to establish term limits for elected and appointed municipal officials. The proposed ordinance outlines the following: 

 

Mayor– maximum of (2) four-year terms

Councilmember- maximum of (2) four-year terms

Planning Commissioner- maximum of (3) three-year terms

RAP Tax Committee Member- maximum of (3) three-year terms 

 

When an individual is appointed to serve as a Mayor or a Councilmember, that time does not apply to the 8 year maximum.

 

Interested residents are encouraged to attend and provide public comment. Written comments may also be submitted in advance to the City Recorder’s Office at ltitensor@clinton.utah.gov

 

A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at 2267 N 1500 W Clinton or by contacting Lisa Titensor, the City Recorder at 801-614-0720 or ltitensor@clinton.utah.gov In accordance with the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act (Utah Code § 52-4-202) and municipal ordinance adoption procedures (Utah Code §§ 10-3-711 and 10-3-712), proper notice has been posted on the:
